FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need to bear in mind when applying for a motorcycle licence?

For a motorcycle licence, the theory lessons ‘Motorcycle Theory 1’ and ‘Motorcycle Theory 2’ are compulsory. These topics are also known as topics 15 to 18. We always offer these as double lessons, allowing you to complete all four compulsory lessons in two visits.

The next ‘Moto 1’ lesson will take place on {{ next-lesson: MOTO1 }}.

The next ‘Moto 2’ lesson will take place on {{ next-lesson: MOTO2 }}.

Do you also offer the B196 course?

Since January 2020, you can also take the extension to the 125 cm³ motorcycle licence with us. Here is a brief overview:

  • You must have held a Class B licence for at least 5 years and be at least 25 years old.
  • The licence is only valid within Germany and it is not possible to upgrade from A1 to A2.
  • There are no exams, just five 90-minute driving lessons, i.e. ten hours.
  • In addition, 4 class-specific theory lessons (topics 15, 16, 17 and 18) are required.
  • The course price includes five practical double lessons and four class-specific theory double lessons. Additional driving lessons will be charged according to the current price list.

Registration is done as usual via the online form.

Where can I find detailed information about the process?

Our Driving licence process page describes the steps you need to take. When you register online (see Online registration form), all steps and required driving lessons are calculated individually for each driving licence class.
